About Friends of Linn County

We are a group of individuals who wish to conserve our important farm and forest lands and to preserve the quality of our lives. The unprecedented growth Linn County is experiencing could change forever our land and our lives. We believe that growth can and must be managed in ways that will preserve our resources.

Our Oregon land use laws that have been essential in maintaining the unique quality of life we share in Linn County are now being undermined. Lands are being opened up to inappropriate development at an alarming rate. Organized and well-funded interests are influencing our elected officials at the state and local levels.

This is a critical time. Linn County citizens must act now to monitor the threats and to promote responsible land use planning.
